Lionel Cantú GLBTI Center Library

The Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center library has an exciting collection of 1,400 queer titles that are available for 3-week loan to members of the campus community. Vintage and contemporary books cover a broad range of popular queer themes. Our library is catalogued and maintained by a volunteer librarian and the majority of our books are donated. A project to list the collection on our website will soon be realized. In the meantime, come over to the Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center and check it out!

The Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center has Santa Cruz County's most complete offering of queer magazines and newspapers---and one of the greatest reading rooms anywhere! Newspapers are FREE and available 24/7 from the newstands on the Center's front porch. Magazines are part of the library and may be browsed any time the center is open.

How you can help the Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center library grow:

  • Pass on to us recent issues of queer magazines YOU subscribe to.
  • Give a gift subscription of a queer magazine to the Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center.
  • Donate good quality books to our collection (donations are tax deductible and a bookplate with your name in it will be placed in the books you give).
  • Give a monetary donation to the Lionel Cantú GLBTI Resource Center so that new books and magazine subscriptions can be purchased.
