Vision Statement

The Lionel Cantú Queer Resource Center envisions a campus that connects, retains, and sustains queer and trans students, staff, faculty, and alumni. We envision communities where queer and trans people thrive and are fully liberated, valued, and celebrated. 

Mission Statement 

The Lionel Cantú Queer Resource Center is the nexus of support and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community at the University of California, Santa Cruz. We create co-curricular experiences with students, staff, and faculty to challenge cisheteronormative understandings of gender and sexuality. We build a more inclusive campus community with and for all queer and trans people by providing essential resources and education through programming, workshops, and critical dialogues.
