Request a Collab
The Lionel Cantú Queer Resource Center is always excited to be able to partner on different initiatives, programs, events, workshops, and other efforts. We enjoy trying new things and experimenting with possibilities. Though we can't always do all the things, we will do our best to support requests for partnership and collaboration. Some of the ways we collaborate:
- offering funding support when possible
- being part of the logistics/planning process
- assisting with promoting an event
- brainstorming
- combinations of all of the above
- other possibilities requested that may not be reflected above
Part of our mission as a resource center is to provide education to the wider UCSC and Santa Cruz communities on the realities and experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. We live into and live out this commitment through some of the following efforts:
- developing workshops and trainings such as navigating pronouns and incluive language; queer allyship and accomplicehood; general overviews of sexual and gender diversities in higher education; supporting specific identities and/or intersections of identities; and other topics as requested
- resource sheets and infographics reflecting themes such as mental health, healthcare, sexual assault awareness, and more
- zines have become a passionate and creative part of our team and we are happy to explore co-creating zines as well as sharing zines through our website and social media platforms.
Please email your ideas, requests, any questions, clarifications and/or concerns to queer@ucsc.edu. We will respond as soon as we are able, typically within a week's time (but we do try to respond quickly). In addition, you can also contact our director, delfin bautista, at dewbauti@ucsc.edu.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to the Lionel Cantú Queer Resource Center! We look forward to co-creating with you!
